More from Chassati and Rene’s wedding. Texas Wedding Photography

Rene and Chassati were friends for several years before their romance blossomed. They both worked at the same place for several years, and enjoyed working directly with each other when they had the opportunity. They both became single and started spending more and more time together. The last thing either of them wanted was a romantic relationship and they felt completely comfortable with each other and free to enjoy our time together as friends without any intention of a romantic relationship evolving. Rene completely supported Chassati through her father’s heart attack and recovery and new career path. Chassati had been there for Rene through the ups and downs of divorce, parenting and his grandparents’ failing health. The incredibly strong chemistry surprised them more than anyone else, and it definitely surprised a lot of people! They thoroughly enjoyed each other’s company and conversation more than anything, and found themselves spending more and more time together and missing each other terribly when they weren’t together. So, at some point, Chassati and Rene became a very happy couple. Chassati and Rene spent so much time together, that they can’t even put a finger on when exactly the relationship shifted from friends to soul mates. Rene proposed last fall, after the ring had burned a hole in his pocket for only a few hours. Rene had planned a romantic weekend with dinner, poetry and moonlight… but after picking up the ring, found that he simply couldn’t wait and had to pop the question immediately. Rene blurted it out after they returned to his house after dinner with friends and family. Rene was sweating and making no sense the whole evening before he asked, and Chassati remembered asking him several times if he was okay and if he felt sick or needed something. There was no way Rene could have held out for the weekend! Chassati and Rene planned the date for May 2nd and the rest is beautiful history! Chassati and Rene love every moment they spend together and are so excited and feel so blessed to hold each other’s hand through life’s journey.

Jake and I hope that Chassati and Rene will keep in touch and remain friends! I look forward to seeing their very beautiful life unfold together!!

You might have seen Chassati’s bridals and now you all get a sneak peak into Chassati and Rene’s beautiful outdoor wedding at the Inn on the Creek in Salado, Texas.  Chassati and Rene wanted to see each other prior to the ceremony. Many people commonly referred to it as ‘first look’. I wish more couples would do this because it helps relieve the wedding jitters and gives me the opportunity to get some really amazing shots of the bride and groom spending some quality time together prior to the ceremony. Here are Chassati and Rene’s shots from ‘first look’.

Despite the heat and tornado warning, the ceremony and reception went really well! Family from all over were in attendance and had a great time! I have a few shots from the ceremony to share. More on the way. :)

I was moved by this….

I was so very moved the these 2 people who fell in love and the community who made their dreams of having a beautiful and memorable wedding come true. In the spirit of their generousity and love, I want to give an additional ‘Pay it forward’ wedding  photography for 2010.

The first one to read this beautiful story and tell how they are going to ‘pay it forward’ gets my additional 2010 pay it forward package! GO!!  :)

Getting married in Austin? Wednesday tip no. 1

If you are planning on getting married in Austin, then you have better go and check out the Austin Wedding Blog! They have tons of information about vendors, trends in weddings, and some other really interesting ideas for your wedding such as the garter toss which I thought was a very cool and fun way to get the single guys out for the toss. There are also forums in which you all can sign up and interact with other brides, grooms, and I think even vendors.

Good luck with your wedding planning!

Just married! Chassati and Rene, Salado Texas

We just got back from Chassati and Rene’s wedding and it was FUN!!! Chassati and Rene were married at the Inn on the Creek! This bed and breakfast is amazing and Will, the innkeeper was so friendly and made sure everything and everyone was comfortable and content!  We took lots of pictures and I am currently uploading them for proofing and will have some up soon! In the meantime, I can finally share some of Chassati’s bridals with you all. Chassati can’t take a ‘bad’ picture!! She is gorgeous!! She really is the total package!! After speaking and planning with Chassati, it was clear that Chassati wanted to reflect her outgoing self in her bridals. She also wanted to have fun!! What I love most is that Chassati’s bridals were untraditional…..and that is awesome!!

Check them out! Let me know what you think!

Joy and Tony’s engagement session, Austin Texas

aa

Tony & Joy met 8 or 9 years ago at a friend’s house.  Tony was there to see his friend after making a connection with her at a party, but ended sitting all alone because he didn’t know anyone else there.  Being the group’s social butterfly, Joy sat with Tony and chatted with him for a while to make him feel more comfortable.  Joy immediately felt a connection with Tony, but since Joy respected her friendship with her friend, she didn’t want to jeopardize a potential relationship between him and her friend, and put the idea of Tony aside.  Joy also happened to be developing something with someone else, so the timing was poor for both of them.

Tony and Joy’s  friend ended up dating and living together for several months before they parted ways completely, and Joy thought she’d never see Tony again.  The friendship Joy had with Tony’s former girlfriend dissolved, and they too parted ways.  As luck would have it, about a year after that, a group of Tony’s friends moved into the same apartment complex tha t Joy was living in.  Joy received a call from a number she didn’t recognize, and imagine to Joy’s  surprise when she answered and it was Tony!  Tony was having a birthday party, and thought about Joy and her old friends and roommates – who’d become friends with Tony’s friends by then – and wanted to bring them all together again.  Joy went, and luckily, they still had that old spark and were both available for a relationship this time around.  Tony confessed to Joy that he’d also had some feelings for her while he was with his old girlfriend, but also didn’t want to cause any drama.  Joy won’t necessarily say that we were “destined” for each other, but there were certainly forces at work behind the scenes that they couldn’t have dreamed of.

For their first real “date,” Tony took Joy to a concert that he’d already asked someone else to attend with him weeks before he’d gotten back in touch with her.   Joy explained to Tony that she understood the situation and that it would be OK for Tony to go with the other girl because she didn’t want Tony to be put into an awkward position.  Tony took Joy anyway.  That one gesture showed Joy how much he cared about her feelings, and that she was very special.

Only a few months into their relationship, one of his friends told Tony that “if he messed this up, he would kill him.”  Tony told Joy about that later that night, and Joy’s heart secretly warmed.  When you’ve got their friends too, you know it’s something special!

Since then, they have  faced their share of ups and downs.  Tony supported Joy when she was laid off from a prominent music store that closed.  Joy helped Tony to transfer from ACC to UT when he wanted something more.  Tony motivated and encouraged Joy when she was scared about going back to school at UT to finish her degree.  Joy held his hand when his aunt, who was scheduled to photograph their wedding, passed away unexpectedly.  They have been together for about 7 years now, and know that after this long, they can face anything together.  They are best friends, confidants, and each other’s favorite critic.  They are at their best when they  are together and can’t wait for it to get even better.

Here are some pictures from their engagement session. There is so much more that I will be posting soon. I was just so excited to put these few up. Enjoy!!
